It Started With COVID-19
& A Podcast
We're part of Couples for Christ, a Catholic womb to tomb organization. In 2020, we were asked to be the Kids for Christ Coordinator. Just as we were about to invite families for our first assembly, the pandemic happened. In Person meetings were discontinued. We tried to do Zoom meetings but it wasn't well attended. So we started a Podcast with the intention of having families do their own reflections and prayers as Household unit, which is part of the culture of Couples for Christ.
Object Lessons Were Fun!
We later discovered these activities called, "Object Lessons", which were fun little activities meant to keep the kids' attention and drive home a lesson. But it was not feasible to demonstrate it on the Podcast. So we started our YouTube channel with 13 subscribers. Most of whom were from The Light of Jesus Community, who gave us a lot of encouragement in this endeavor. It later on transformed when this happened ...
When Cartoon Jesus Said "Hi"
When the COVID 19 Vaccine came out, the first public thing I did was go to Mass in person. It was a morning mass and after I received the Eucharist, I knelt down in my pew to pray. Then, I felt that someone knelt down on my left. When I looked up - I saw a vision of Jesus in Cartoon form. And He said, "Hi. How are you doing?" I didn't understand what was happening (later I learned this was an "Open Vision"). And I didn't know what it initially meant, but it was the seed that prompted making cartoons on the YouTube Channel.
